Edmonton Breakout

Students enjoy a meal at Boston Pizza
Exchange students tour the Alberta Legislative Assembly The group plays Wallyball at the Kinsmen Sports Centre

Visit Edmonton for a weekend and have a two day  introduction to the city's attractions.  Meet all of the tour participants on Friday night and have a social evening together.  Take in a movie, go bowling or spend your time chatting.
On Saturday morning a tour of the Alberta Legislative Assembly will amaze you.  This formal government building has mysteries for you to discover - a secret spot with magical qualities, dead eyes that watch you as you walk by, and a mace which is not quite what it seems.  Spend the afternoon at West Edmonton Mall where you can shop, swim, skate, play golf, ride go-carts, ride a rollercoaster, visit  a games arcade and eat foods from all over the world.  After supper at Boston Pizza the next stop is an Edmonton Oilers hockey game.
On Sunday morning you go to the Kinsmen Sports Centre to swim and play wallyball (no spelling error).
Then it's time to say goodbye to all of your new friends and head back home.

Canoe Challenge

Western Canada tour pictures

Our Canadian rivers are important  contributors to the development of Western Canada.  These highways from the east brought many explorers, adventurers and fur traders far across the northern parts of North America in search of their dreams.  The North Saskatchewan River was probably the most important of these rivers.  Now you have the opportunity to experience the thrill of discovery just like David Thompson did 200 years ago.

Travel down the river in a canoe.
Camp by the river with a breathtaking view of the mountains.
Sit around the camp fire with your fellow travellers and share the starry sky.
Enjoy a voyageur's breakfast before the second day of paddling and drifting down the river.

Be sure to bring a camera.
